Exam Study Topics with Links to My Notes:

Microsoft has provided a list of topics covered by each exam. I plan to prepare for these exams by studying each of the topics in this list. These topics are listed in the pages linked below. On the pages linked below, I will add links to my study notes for each topic as I study it. You are invited to follow along and post comments, questions, and observations.

  1. Exam 70-536: .NET 2.0 Application Development Foundation
  2. Exmp 70-526: .NET 2.0 Windows-based Client Development
  3. Exam 70-548: Designing and Developing Windows-based Applications for .NET 2.0

I will be using a variety of resources to study for each topic on each exam. I will provide links to the resources when they are available online and references for the books I use that are not available online.

Microsoft Certification Requirements 

The requirements for becoming a Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD): Windows Developer are to first pass the two exams required to become a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS): .NET Framework 2.0 Windows Applications, and then to pass the MCPD exam. The three exams required are listed below:

  1. Exam 70-536: TS: Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 – Application Development Foundation
  2. Exam 70-526: TS: Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 – Windows-Based Client Development
  3. Exam 70–548: PRO: Designing and Developing Windows Applications by Using the Microsoft .NET Framework.
